All three deliver Eight Hour® moisture, but they're built for different needs. This Lip Protectant Stick is a sheer, portable lip stick with SPF 15, the one to reach for when you want lightweight lip care plus sun defense, alone or under lipstick. The original Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant is a multipurpose balm in a tube for lips and dry areas all over, without SPF. The Eight Hour® Cream Intensive Lip Repair Balm is a rich, barrier-repair balm in a jar for intensive lip moisture, also without SPF. Choose the Stick for daytime SPF, the tube for all-over versatility, and the Repair Balm for the richest lip treatment.
The Lip Protectant Stick provides SPF 15 to help guard against the damaging effects of UV exposure. Its label states SPF 15 but does not make a broad spectrum claim, so for extended time outdoors, pair it with additional broad-spectrum sun protection and other sun-safe habits. For continued protection, reapply at least every two hours, and more often after eating, drinking, or towel drying, in line with general sunscreen guidance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.¹

Per the product's Drug Facts, the active ingredients are Petrolatum 30.2% (a lip protectant that seals in moisture) and the sunscreens Padimate O 8.0% and Oxybenzone 3.0%, which provide the SPF 15 UV protection.
