Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour® Cream is the legendary, award-winning skin protectant that does more than soothe sun-burned skin, rehydrate chapped lips, and heal rough elbows and calluses. It’s also the secret that makeup artists all over the world use for keeping legs, lips and eyelids shiny; eyebrows in place; and cuticles perfectly manicured. There are an infinite number of ways to use this classic cream, but here are 8 great ones:

1. SKIN SAVER – Protect skin from drying wind, central heating and air conditioning. This skincare multi-tasker soothes, restores, calms and helps relieve minor skin irritations, including roughness, redness, chapped, cracked or dry skin.

2. SHINE FACTOR – Found in top makeup artists’ kits worldwide, this all-in-one beauty tool adds shine to eyelids, cheeks, lips and legs.

3. EYE OPENER – All it takes is a dab to smooth eyebrows and create a perfectly defined arch that will stay in place all day.

4. CUTICLE CONDITIONER – Soften rough, dry cuticles to keep them smooth, supple and beautifully manicured.

5. TREAT FOR FEET – Smooth rough heels and soften soles for barefoot beauty in every season.

6. AFTER-SUN SOOTHER – With its legendary soothing and moisturizing benefits, it’s the ideal after-sun treatment to relieve minor sunburn and calm dry, irritated sun-exposed skin.

7. FLIGHT TOOL – Flying can leave skin looking and feeling dry and uncomfortable. Pack this intensive hydrator to boost skin’s in-flight moisture level wherever you go.

8. LEG WEAR – Great for an après shave or après wax treatment. This classic cream calms irritation, reduces redness and leaves legs super-smooth and silky-soft.

THE LEGEND Created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden herself to soothe skin, Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant became an instant and overwhelming success. What made it so effective? A combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy -- debuting in one of its first cosmetic uses -- and vitamin E. The apricot-colored balm was so beneficial to her clients that Miss Arden even used it to soothe her famous thoroughbred horses' legs. Even its name came about thanks to a remarkable performance – a loyal client used it to treat her child's skinned knee and "Eight Hour®s" later, the skin was all better.

BEAUTY TIP: "As a makeup artist, I love to use this on the runway. The eyelids, cheekbones – the lips as a gloss. It's great as a brow fixative to keep the brows in place. It's great on the elbows and cuticles; it heals, moisturizes and soothes. It reverses the dryness in the skin, especially during cold weather – it's terrific. It gives that beautiful, healthy and natural look to the skin."

Rated 1 out of 5 by SMELLS! Not sure why this so popular? The smell is awful! 03/21/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Holy Grail Product I have been using 8 hour cream everyday for three years. I work in the entertainment business and kept seeing makeup artists use it. It's a great lip balm or cuticle cream. For makeup artists I've seen it used to keep brows in place and create an oiled eye makeup look. The 1.07oz tube will last you forever. The product does have a distinct smell. I personally like the originality of the scent, but have had friends that disliked it. 02/04/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It! It does smell strong. But you will learn to love the smell when you see how much it helps with severe dry skin problems. I have had eczema since I was a kid and this is the only over-the-counter product that works for me. Now my 10 year old daughter uses it for her hands too. Don't expect an odorless cream but do expect results! 12/18/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bye bye wrinkled hands! Washing your hands all the time takes a toll on them. That's why I'm so happy I found this cream! My skin (at age 45) looks like that of a 60 yr old's. At least until I started using this cream regularly. My hands aren't cracked, dry and bleeding from washing and being in the cold weather in Missouri. Trust me, it all takes a toll on you. I wish I'd had it when I worked as a floor nurse years ago. It used to hurt to wash my hands or put on gloves. This would have cured that issue right up! 01/21/2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not what I thought I was getting I ordered this thinking I was getting a creamy lotion pefect for the colder months. What I received was a thick cream that smelled medicinal with a hint of gasoline. The product leaves my hands greasy. I normally love Elizabeth Arden but was surprised by this product. I am planning on using it as a night time hand and foot lotion so that it does not go to waste. 11/26/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Split chalk dried fingers healed I used it 50 years ago when chalkboards were in use. I had about a fourth of a jar left and had no idea it was still available. I wear shellac on my nails and it dries out the nail. 8-hour cream works wonders to restore the nails. 11/11/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for so many skin issues when my sister-in-law was pregnant, she had a dry patch on both elbows. She said it felt like crushed glass under her elbow when she rested it on any surface. I gave her some of my Eight Hour Cream to try. It was better within the week. I don't mind the smell, but if something works... 10/26/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great to use instead of lip gloss I don't find the smell offensive. I have used it for years all through the day to help with dry lips. I also spread it on just before I go to bed. Without it my lips would be cracked and dry. I hope they never stop making it. I put the product in small containers from The Container Store and have them in almost every room. It is also very good for cuticles. 10/25/2015
